Galaxy Quenching

Galaxies are broadly divided in two main classes, star forming and passive. Understanding the machanisms responsible for quenching star formation in the former and transforming them into quiescent systems is a topic of great scientific interest. I have been active in this area for several years and I have been awarded a major EU grant to fund a project (QUENCH) to investigate specifically this topic. Please visit the page of the QUENCH project for more information.
